Dog Friendly Beaches in North Devon
Smythen Farm makes the perfect holiday location for families with dogs, with acres of land and cosy cottages. Surrounding us are a number of excellent dog-friendly beaches to let your pooch stretch their four legs on!
Putsborough Sands
Nestled between Croyde and Woolacombe you'll find the vast stretch of beautiful sandy beach of Putsborough Sands. Half of the beach is always free for dogs to use, whilst the other half has restrictions from April to October.
Woolacombe Beach
Consistency voted one of the best beaches in the UK, our local beach of Woolacombe is perfect for dogs with its golden sands and rock pools! Restrictions – Dogs are not allowed between the rocks at the north end of the beach and the stream from Good Friday or 1st April (whichever is earliest) until the first Monday in November. They must be on leads from the stream to Mill Rock from the same dates but may be exercised without restriction from Mill Rock onwards.
Croyde Beach
In a small bay between Saunton Sands and Woolacombe is Croyde beach, a stunning national trust beach surrounded by sand dunes and spectacular views. Dogs are only permitted here outside of May to September, so if you're visiting Smythen Farms outide of these dates Croyde is an excellent beach to visit with your dog.
