North Devon set to host international children’s theatre company

Visitors to holiday cottages in Devon with young children can look forward to the arrival of the Blunderbus Theatre Company performing ‘How to Catch a Star’ in both the Landmark Theatre on Wednesday of next week (March 19) at 10.30am and Barnstaple’s Queen’s Theatre, on Thursday (March 20) at 10.15am and 1.30pm. The performance follows the tale of a boy who loved stars very much. Every night he watched stars from his bedroom window and wished that he had one of his own. So one day, he decided he would try to catch a star. First of all he needed to think of a plan to succeed. Follow Boy on his amazing journey across land, sea and skies in his quest for a very special starry friend. After the international success of ‘The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark’, highly praised children’s theatre company Blunderbus is proud to present this funny, gentle retelling of Oliver Jeffers’ story. The show, adapted for the stage by Bill Davis, is based on the best selling children’s picture book from Oliver Jeffers and includes music by Frank Goodhind. This clever new show is brought to life with an exciting blend of puppetry, music, and of course, storytelling. It’s a must-see for small people aged three to seven, and grown-up stargazers too!
