North Devon has a beautiful selection of dog friendly beaches and it’s quite possible that when you are enjoying them with your four-legged friend that you could bump into a local dog and his owner with some very impressive tricks up their sleeves (or paws!) Ilfracombe Dogs Trust used to be the home of Bailey the Border Collie until his current owners came along and made him part of their family. The young pooch and his owner- Danny Ewing have spent many an hour training on the beaches and public areas locally which has led to them making their big TV debut. Bailey and Danny starred on BBC Sport Relief's Top Dog at the beginning of March and took on a series of challenges. Bailey, who is now four years old, was chosen to appear on the show following the application from Danny after he sent in a video showcasing Bailey's skills and agility. As you can expect Danny was thrilled about featuring on the show, as was Bailey. Bailey won his heat but unfortunately he didn’t reach the semi-finals and won’t appear on the show anymore, but if you’re visiting North Devon’s beaches keep your eyes peeled you may just get to see his tricks on a beach near you.
