Spring Bank Holiday in North Devon

I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that for the majority of us, on Monday 29th May you wont need to head to work! If you're looking to escape for the upcoming Spring Bank Holiday on the 29th May, you're not alone!

Tens of thousands of tourists will flock to tranquil North Devon that weekend, drawn by stunning scenery, wide-stretching beaches and picturesque villages.

We're very proud of our home county of North Devon - there's always something going on for locals and tourists alike. Spring bank holiday is of-course no different.

Simonsbath Festival celebrates the cultural heritage of Exmoor http://www.simonsbathfestival.org.uk/ inviting top musicians from abroad to celebrate theirs in the six weeks between May Day and Midsummer. In the spirit of diversity the festival also offers a variety of other events and activities including walks, talks, classical music, jazz and opera and an art exhibition

On Sunday 28th May Marshall will be in action at The Milky Way! The Dalmation fire pup, medic and star of PAW Patrol will be making appearances at intervals throughout the day PLUS he will be joined by a narrator for a special storytelling session in our 800 seat indoor arena. What’s more, the extra fun over the half term is all included in the normal entry price. You can look forward to all of the usual attractions on offer at North Devon’s multi award winning day out, with rides, slides, shows and activities designed to entertain the whole family. Whilst you’re here don’t forget to grab yourself a VIP super saver ticket that will get you in for £7.50 per person all season, £3.50 for children aged 1-2 years. Super saver tickets are available in the shop on your way out, so don’t forget to pick one up.

Lovely stay at Smythen Farm Holiday Cottages hosted by Bill and his farm animals. The kids loved it - especially the upside down cottage. Thanks for a lovely stay in beautiful North Devon.

We stayed here for the May half term, in Honeysuckle cottage. There was plenty of space for two adults and two kids, the kitchen was well equipped and there was even a washing machine (very useful when you have two little boys!). The cottage faced the courtyard (the swimming pool). Some of the cottages face onto the field, so have an amazing view. The farm is lovely, there are animals to feed, a small heated and covered swimming pool, playground and play room. Kids

Many thanks to all at Smythen Farm – we stayed in Fisherswood Cottage for a 4 night stay on 16th March. We found the cottage really well laid out and very comfortable. The location for visiting North Devon is as good as you could get. A great break.

My wife and I have just returned from a week`s holiday in Honey Pot cottage at Smythen Farm and enjoyed every minuet of our stay. Despite it being the middle of march and the wind blowing full force outside the cottage was lovely and warm. It was well appointed clean and had all we needed to make our stay perfect. Despite dropping in on spec on a Sunday afternoon we were greeted with a friendly welcome from our host and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.In the h
