Bideford Bay Creatives have been presenting a series of events in North Devon recently as part of Bideford’s culture festival ‘Tales of the Riverbank’, and make for the perfect activity to get involved in while staying at our holiday cottages in Devon. The festival, located throughout the town of Bideford, combines a mixture of creative artworks, tours, photography exhibitions and activities all centred around the theme of ‘the river.’ The purpose of the festival is to celebrate the river Torridge – its heritage, its history, its plants, its nature and its usefulness to those living in and around the Bideford area, and there is still plenty of time for you to get involved. On Saturday 19th September there is a wonderful tour being hosted, taking you on a creative trail around Bideford’s town. Participating in the tour allows you to visit some of the town’s most prominent features; Jubilee Square and Grenville Street are a couple of the stops on the tour and will provide you with some unexpected, colourful displays. There is also the opportunity to meet some of the artists whilst you walk. If you would like to take part in the guided tour or would like more information about the festival you can find it here: http://www.bbcdevon.org/ Image: Adrian King available via Creative Commons
