If you fancy doing something slightly more adventurous than a relaxing at your holiday cottages in North Devon with a swimming pool at your disposal then you can soon give wakeboarding a go after a Westward Ho! couple have set up North Devon’s first wakeboarding park. Sally and Joe Constable gave up their jobs and along with their four children, three nephews, other family and friends, they have all been flat out working to set up the venture close to the Milky Way near Clovelly- a dream for Sally and Joe. Everyone in the household have been enjoying the sport for years so they know their stuff. Since September last year, the whole family has worked tirelessly as one to make the dream into a reality, and Sally is hoping that they will be able to begin to take bookings for thrill-seekers to enjoy their new water-sport attraction in the next couple of weeks. The lake is equipped fully-equipped with an overhead cable that pulls the rider along in the water which means there is no boat involved in the wakeboarding sessions. The family will be on hand, instructing the beginners and novice riders to the sport, while the more experienced people who’re seasoned at what it takes to wakeboard will be able to get out on the eight obstacles on the lake. There’s not just wakeboarding on offer, as visitors will also be able to give wakeskating and water-skiing a try too. There is also a beach volleyball facility on the site if you fancy a game when you’re not riding on the lake.
