Where to Eat in Ilfracombe North Devon

Squires is without question a must if you like fish and chips. I always recommend Squires to our guests and no one has been disappointed. It is a modern restaurant, it serves alcohol, a good atmosphere and children love it.

Childrens Menu £4.50 Adults £8.00

This is a small family run restaurant, good quality well cooked food at a reasonable price.
Using the best of Devon's fresh produce makes sure that the food takes centre stage with some excellent fish dishes featured during the summer months. Well worth booking always popular.  I recommend it and every one has enjoyed it.

£20.00 – £25.00 Per Head

Good quality food and drink. Good atmosphere and caters for children. Decent choice of menu, good value and offer recession buster meals in early evening. Highly recommended.

£15.00 – 17.00 per head

Interseting Tapas menu, good quality food and children friendly. Have a early evening Tapas for £10.00 well worth it. Cheese excellent. Well worth a visit.

£15.00 Per head

Good quality food, interesting dining room looking out to sea.
Interesting menu with locally produced ingredients including herbs and salads from their own garden. Highly recommended.

 £25.00 - £30.00 per head

A reasonable curry, having said that I have been spoilt by the quality of a local curry restaurant before moving to Smythen Farm Holiday Cottages. The food tends to be Bangledesh oriented.

Worth a visit also is available when other restaurants are closed. Good for take aways.

Good for take aways.  £12.00 - £15.00 Per head

Situated next to Woolacombe Beach, Barracombe Beach Cafe is a real jewel in the Woolacombe crown.

The cafe is a typical beach Cafe during the day and it offers an array of sandwiches, coffee, tea , crisps , canned drinks and Ice creams etc.  The cafe at night time then comes into life serving good quality Thai food.  A choice of chicken or vegetarian tends to be the limited choice but is served on china plates and is really good value.

An evening on Baracombe beach, enjoying with Thai food with your family whilst the sun goes down is a wonderful way to spend an evening and is a favourite of ours.

The Beach Cafe doesn’t sell alcohol so take your own and glasses- don’t forget the cork screw.

An adults portion is £8.50 and a child portion £5.25

Lovely stay at Smythen Farm Holiday Cottages hosted by Bill and his farm animals. The kids loved it - especially the upside down cottage. Thanks for a lovely stay in beautiful North Devon.

We stayed here for the May half term, in Honeysuckle cottage. There was plenty of space for two adults and two kids, the kitchen was well equipped and there was even a washing machine (very useful when you have two little boys!). The cottage faced the courtyard (the swimming pool). Some of the cottages face onto the field, so have an amazing view. The farm is lovely, there are animals to feed, a small heated and covered swimming pool, playground and play room. Kids

Many thanks to all at Smythen Farm – we stayed in Fisherswood Cottage for a 4 night stay on 16th March. We found the cottage really well laid out and very comfortable. The location for visiting North Devon is as good as you could get. A great break.

My wife and I have just returned from a week`s holiday in Honey Pot cottage at Smythen Farm and enjoyed every minuet of our stay. Despite it being the middle of march and the wind blowing full force outside the cottage was lovely and warm. It was well appointed clean and had all we needed to make our stay perfect. Despite dropping in on spec on a Sunday afternoon we were greeted with a friendly welcome from our host and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. In the h
