Coasteering

Come with us and experience nature’s own adventure playground around the beautiful North Devon coast.

If you’re a newcomer to coasteering then you’ll be pleased to hear that it’s minimum skill for maximum thrill! We’ve over 16 years of experience taking groups coasteering in North Devon, so we know how to give you a completely brilliant time whilst still having a completely safe time.

We are lucky enough to be based in Watermouth Cove - one of the finest coasteering locations anywhere in Britain. It’s a private section of coast that we’ll share with you as you climb over rocks, jump into the sea, swim through gullies, float into caves and find out what an ‘impact zone’ is for yourself!

Stand Up Paddleboarding

Experience and explore our breathtaking North Devon coastline on a Stand Up Paddleboard (or SUP).  Our amazing venue offers the stunning backdrop of Exmoor framed by rocks and caves waiting for you to come and enjoy. 

You’ll discover this beautiful coastline that takes you through gullies into hidden caves and secluded coves. We think this part of the North Devon coast is as magical as you will find anywhere in the country, and there is no better way of exploring it than on a calm day on a Stand Up Paddleboard. 

So take advantage of our unique Stand Up Paddleboard taster sessions.  We'll teach you how to paddle and manover your board or if you've done it before then we can enhance your technique.  This will take around 15min then you'll have upto 2hrs to explore our cove and nearby beach at your leisure. 

We love Stand Up Paddleboarding so much, when we're not teaching on the SUP's we're playing o them.  As well as having our SUP qualifications we're all beach lifeguards and know our bit of coastline inside out.

Surf Rafting

We’re stoked to offer you the perfect group surf experience. Forget spending an hour or two trying to stand up on a surfboard in white water. On your own. Instead, experience the raw power of the waves - with your mates - as you paddle out through the surf in our self-bailing, 6-seater rafts and then turn to shoot down the face of the wave back to shore for an experience you’ll never forget.

The activity session will last for 1.5 hrs with the whole session lasting 2.5hrs and completely tailored to suit your group. 

Our highly experienced and friendly instructors are  fully qualified, insured and licensed. They’ll kit you out with all the safety gear and give you a briefing on the beach.  After the briefing we’ll get in the water and get you used to paddling, turning and doing some capsize drills as a crew. 

Just like coasteering this is a minimum skill/maximum thrill activity and we can make it as extreme (or chilled out) an experience as your group wants. Want to surf raft right from the top of a huge wave? You’re on. Want to paddle about in the shallow white water all session? We won’t judge you (much). 

This is a great activity for all groups, stag parties, hen parties, families, groups of friends and corporate groups.  We have two rafts and can take a minimum of 4 people and maximum of 14 people.

Surfing

Never surfed? We’ll get you up on your feet and riding a wave in. Want to improve your surf skills? We’ll work with you to improve your technique and give you tips to squeeze the most out of each wave. 

Working closely with Croyde Surf Academy, we pride ourselves on the personal touch and treat everyone as individuals when carrying out our lessons. So we keep our surf group sizes small so everyone gets the best tuition. All our instructors are qualified surf instructors and beach lifeguards. 

Our sessions are each three hours long which gives you time to change into one of our wetsuits and work on surf techniques on the beach before spending up to two hours having an amazing time riding the waves.

Coastal Rafting

You and five mates can all get involved with our 6-seater rafts. They’re great fun for groups and a brilliant way to explore the stunning coastline of Watermouth Cove Ilfracombe, where you’ll paddle around a beautiful bay finding gullies, exploring caves and jumping off rocks and swimming in the sea. 

Feeling competitive? We organise fun games and races for large groups too, using our full fleet of rafts and paddleboards. 

What makes it a real adventure? We take your group to one of the secluded coves on our private coastline. Our instructors will get you lighting your own fire without matches and cooking delicious treats over a beach campfire.

Inflatable Rides

If you ever feel the need, the need for speed, then we can help. It’s very simple: choose one of our inflatable toys, hang on for dear life and let our jet ski do the rest. We’ll have you flying round the cove and out to sea in no time on the inflatable of your choice. Warning: there may be whooping.
